Midland occupies both Harris and Muscogee Counties and has seen a lot of growth over the last 10 years. In 2015, a new hub of restaurants was developed to include McDonalds, Chik-fil-a, Chicken Salad Chick, Moe's, Starbucks, and more. Flat Rock Park and a portion of the Rails to Trails bike path is located nearby. However, Midland tends to be primarily a residential area.
